North Okanagan Adult Day Services (NOADS)

Adult day programs across the country are seen as a necessary addition to care for people who are in the early stages of a dementia, socially isolated or physically frail.

The purpose is to provide a place for people to go throughout the day, to receive some health monitoring and simple treatment services, as well as activities that provide a sense of self worth and well-being. An adult day program can also provide respite for family and or friends that are the primary caregivers.

Participants of an adult day program will partake in activities that are meaningful to the group; which support and help maintain their optimal functional physical, cognitive, social and spiritual needs and abilities.
